One More Night of Teenage Bliss...

Tonight,

my favorite little Hotty Toddy and I

are having ourselves a little girl's night,

and I am going to go out on a limb and guess

The fact that 2 such fabulous objects of our affection

 decided to come together

and give us one more night of teenage bliss

is ABSOLUTELY

and POSITIVELY

Men Of Honor

This Sunday is Father's Day...

the day we set aside to honor

the most important and special men in our lives.

I am so blessed to have such amazing men that have and continue to love, guide, and care for me.

I have the most amazing Daddy in the world. 

He is better then your's....I assure you. 

He has loved me...

to the perfect definition of unconditional love.

I could go on and on about what he means to me....

but I will only end up a crying mess.

I love him more then I could ever express through words or actions...

I am so very thankful that he is mine.

I also have the most amazing brother in world.

Most of you know this....

but for those that don't,

Jason is 15 years older then me.

I was a surprise. 

I like to think a good one...

but he may disagree at times!

With our age difference....

he could have completely ignored me,

and gone about his teenage years.

But Jason was and still is my absolute heart.

He is the most special big brother

that I could have ever asked for.

I do not share with him enough how much he means to me...

and I should.

I am so so blessed that he too belongs to me.

I also have the greatest father-in-law in the world.

I am not sucking up

(I am sure Kody will accuse me of that)

I absolutely mean it.

I have always loved my Mr.Ken,

but this past year has taken that love to another level.

I absolutely ADORE that man.

He makes me laugh day in and day out,

and his heart is one of the biggest I have ever known.

I continue to grow more thankful for him each and ever day.

And Kody...

he isn't a father yet...

unless you count Annabelle,

and we might as well.

She is quite the handfull after all.

Watching him interact with our nieces, nephew,

and friend's children

truly warms my heart,

and makes me so excited for our future.

Kody is going to be an AMAZING dad...

someday.

Don't get your hopes up,

 we don't plan on that "someday" coming anytime soon.

So in the meantime,

I am thankful for the amazing man he is,

and how hard he works in building such an amazing

life and future for us.

Thank you to my favorite men and what you have and continue to bring to my life.  I love you all so very very much!!!

Tooth Fairies and Puppy Dogs

 I have known today was coming for quiiiiiiite some time now...

and I have pushed it off for as long as possible.

But here we are...

and today,

my precious precious puppy girl,

that is like my child,

whom I am way way way too obsessed with

is having her teeth cleaned.

Yiiiiikes and sad day.

They have to put her to sleep...

and they may have to pull some of her teeth

which all wayyyyyy makes me nervous.

Because, again.... I am way too obsessed with my dog.

I will be honest,

I did SO much better dropping her off this morning

then I thought I would.

In fact, I did FABULOUS...

 for me.

No tears for this girl.

Don't judge.

I've already admitted my unhealthy obsession with my dog,

who happens to be just. like. me.

in a dog's body.

How could I not be IN looooooove?!?!

(Kody... don't answer that)

So now,

I anxiously await Sherwood South's phone call

keeping my fingers crossed

that this experience is as easy on Annabelle as it can be...

and myself...

she nor I are the calmest kids out there

especially when it comes to each other

we need all of the positive thoughts and energy we can get.

For those of you who know her, know that there is not a more giving, supportive, and selfless person on the planet. 

Her love for her family is so incredibly strong.

Her actions such a deep testament to her heart.

I feel so blessed to be a part of her family,

and am so thankful to have the opportunity to celebrate such a wonderful woman.

Two year's ago today I started a new journey in life

A brand new city

A brand new television station

A brand new home

Baton Rouge has certainly thrown its challenges my way during these past 2 years

 2 wrecks in 3 months...

one of which totaled my precious Accord that was my high school graduation gift from my parents

A break in ...

during which the alarm Annabelle scared off the bad guys

And LSU fans...

goodness

24/7

365 days a year 

can be enough to make annnnny Southern girl have their moments

Despite the wrecks, robbers, and a few hateful Tiger fans...

the past two years also brought along absolute bliss

the most amazing proposal to the man of my dreams 

my fairytale wedding

enough King Cake to build Annabelle a mansion

snowballs to make even the worst heat wave bearable

the fabulousness that is Strawberry Abita

new friends

new family

so much laughter

so many priceless memories

Thanks for the past 730 days Baton Rouge

your Cajun charm

cuisine

& fabulous times

make it a pleasure to call you home ...
